Covid-19 has changed everything not just for all of us, but also for conservation.

As a conservation filmmaker for the past 10 years, I know this: We can’t stop advocating for conservation and telling the stories of conservation. Stories need to keep being told. Relationships must continue to be grown. Even if your doors or parks are temporarily shut.

Just like you, I keep asking myself, how in these new trying times of Covid19, how do I keep attracting customers? The reality is we all have to adapt. People, businesses, and organizations still need goods and services.

For many organizations, video now becomes the main way to stay connected so that audiences can still see you, hear you, and experience you.

The problem now is that many video agencies that use film crews (even if it’s just a crew of a few) are now on hiatus, at least for the next several months.

Fortunately I’m not in that dilemma. As a solo filmmaker, my services remain accessible. I alone do all the filming. I alone handle all the microphones and lighting. And I alone handle all the footage and files. There are no other hands.

Since 2010 I’ve filmed and produced conservation videos for local, provincial and national organizations. Being nimble and professional is what I live and breathe.

I’m blessed that I’m continuing to do video work during Covid-19. I’ve started working with one conservation organization to film and produce a six-part online tutorial videos. Another organization is going to be rolling out a five-part behind-the-scenes video storytelling video series. These organizations know staying top-of-mind right now is essential so that when this crisis ends, they will spin out of it because they are maintaining connections and still growing relationships.

How I can help you keep communicating and get through this

[su_service title=”How-to and tutorial videos” icon=”icon: film”]I can film and produce how-to and tutorial videos, both low-cost options to help you stay connected and offer ‘value’ to customers to stay connected to you[/su_service]

[su_service title=”In-person visits” icon=”icon: community”]Yes, I’m still doing some in-person visits. However these are being done on a case by case basis, and only after consultation with destination[/su_service]

[su_service title=”Landscape and nature photography” icon=”icon: camera”]Nature is still open! So, YES!, it’s business as usual for my landscape photography. If you need to add to your photo library, I can hike into your destinations and do it[/su_service]

[su_service title=”Produce footage that you send me” icon=”icon: cloud-upload”]You can easily send me footage (even smartphone footage!) and I can work with you to produce simple videos that have a little more zing to them to stand out. All produced files can be sent to you via file transfer[/su_service]
